The North Dakota Pharmaceutical Association has created the website to provide resources for pharmacists that
are working to meet HIPAA requirements. This site was developed through a
grant from the National Council of State Pharmacy Association Executives
(NCSPAE) and Merck. The site contains information developed for North Dakota
pharmacists that can be used by pharmacists in other states. There are
additional resources and an extensive set of links to other sites that will
assist pharmacists in meeting their HIPAA needs. Pharmacists can go to their
state association website through a link from the website along with links
to national pharmacy organizations. The site also has a direct link to the HIPAA training programs that provide on-line training for
pharmacists, technicians, and clerks that will meet the HIPAA training
requirements. The site also has information about the six week
implementation program developed by the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin. There
will be new information added to the site on a regular basis with emphasis
on implementation of the recently released security requirements.
